CREATION / EVOLUTION
Over the years there has been an enormous debate about how the world came into being and how it developed and emotions have often run high.
Below is a link to some very wise words on the subject from the Revd Professor Alister McGrath of Kings Collge London, formerly Principal of Wycliffe Hall Theological College and Professor of Historical Theology at Oxford.
The great virtue of this article is that it does not add yet more new words to the debate but takes us back 1,600 years to what one of the greatest theologians of all time wrote. We will all profit from considering the wisdom of Augustine of Hippo.
You may also profit from reading McGrath's new book, "Mere Theology" ('mere' meaning not 'Anglican theology' or 'Baptist theology' but common theology accepted by all Christians)
