The Church building is beautiful and dates back to 1150AD (the Norman doorway through which you enter the Church) has eight bells, a good pipe organ, no pillars to block the view, seats 300 easily, is always well heated and has a toilet!
In 2011 the cost of a wedding at St Mary's is £560 which includes the calling of the Banns, the Organist, the Bells, the Rehearsal and the Service itself, everything except the Flowers. There is an additional charge if a video is taken.
Legally you can be married in St Mary's if you live in the parish, if you are on the Electoral Roll, or if you, your parents or grandparents have a connection with the Church i.e. regularly worshipped or were Baptised, Confirmed or Married at St Mary's. N.B. Baptism (Christening) is NOT a requirement to be married. If you are unbaptised you can still be married in your Parish Church.
We think a Church Wedding is much more personal, much more dignified and much more meaningful than a Civil Ceremony. So why not book your special day with us?
