Giving

St Mary's has a process of planned financial giving, described below, and also of responding to both local, national and international circumstances and appeals.

The charitable planned giving has a budget of £8K. The congregation of St Mary's can nominate a charity, the Giving Group reviews the nomination subject to criteria such as administration costs, matching the vision, strategy and mission of St Mary's.

Allocation for period 2016, 2017 and 2018

National Charities (£3,000)

  • to support work in the UK to:

    • spread the gospel - UCB £500

    • meet social needs - Church Housing Trust £500

  • to support work abroad to:

    • spread the gospel - The United Society £500

    • meet social needs - TEAR fund £500

  • to acknowledge and support work of providing resources used by St Mary's

    • Bible Reading Fellowship £250

    • Mothers Union £250

    • Girls Friendly Society (GFS) £250

    • Christians Against Poverty UK (CAP) Bradford £250
